In this issue of Jeep Action, we feature articles including travel, owner profiles and events. The Classic not Plastic event was once again held in June and is a good chance for classic Jeeps to gather. It was great to catch up with familiar faces and view their classic Jeeps but there should be more classics in attendance. Well, we have just held our 14th Camp Coffs over the Easter weekend and what a great time it was. Some Jeepers have attended for at least 10 years in a row, it has become their yearly go-to Jeep event, and many others have clocked up at least five years attending Camp Coffs. The event has always been held in the Coffs Harbour area in various locations.
2017 is shaping up to be another great year for Jeep enthusiasts. A number of Jeep events have already been planned for the year including Jeep Beach, the Edinburgh Auto Expo, Camp Coffs, Classic not Plastic and Jeepfest. These events are advertised within this issue and we will keep you up to date with any other Jeep events throughout the year.
In our first editorial of the new year, I hope you’re all enjoying your Christmas break and you have some great Jeep plans for 2017. And whatever your Jeep plans are, we would love to share them with other Jeep enthusiasts. So, whether you’re planning a trip, fitting accessories, restoring, modifying, attending an event or have any Jeep news, please send it in for us to share.
Editorial. This issue we have some great articles on Jeep events, Jeep travel, Jeep history, Jeep tech, Jeep owners and more. Our Jeep events coverage takes us from the annual Classic not Plastic event in NSW and then Mopar Sunday in Qld. These are two completely different style events but both worth attending.
I have really enjoyed covering 75 years of Jeep history in Australia over the first three issues of 2016. This issue we feature more great historical material from 1941-1977 and will have follow-up material in the remaining issues this year.
