Editorial – January February 2018

Jan Feb 2018 magazine coverWelcome to our first issue (and editorial) for 2018. I hope you have been driving, touring, modifying or just enjoying your Jeep over the Christmas break.

This issue we feature the new JL Wrangler with a lot of information and specifications within the article. We look forward to the new model arriving in Australia and we will keep you updated on expected sales dates and model specs for Australia.

There were a lot of Jeep events in the last few months of 2017 and we have them covered this issue. Many of these are annual events, so put them on your Jeep calendar for 2018. One of the mentioned events was Jeepfest which Jeep Action hosted in Victoria. My task was to complete a 3,400-kilometre trip to the event and back with three classic Jeeps. I had to prepare our Cherokee Chief ute, JU1 and Honcho for the trip and get them back. They all went well with no major issues and it was a lot of fun being in a Classic Jeep convoy. Thanks to John, Kerri and Sylvia for helping out.

The beginning of a new year means the start of preparations for our annual Camp Coffs event. Dates for Camp Coffs 2018 are March 29th to April 3rd and as we advertised in our last issue, Camp Coffs won’t be held in 2019. Jeep Action and the Coffs Coast Jeepers Club will be taking a break and it would be great to be able to attend the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab in 2019.

Also, this issue we have articles covering travel, owner profiles, product reviews and technical. Keep sending those articles into us so we can share your Jeep experiences with other enthusiasts.

Enjoy your January/February issue.
