Editorial – November December 2016

Editorial. This, our last issue for 2016 is packed with 75 years of Jeep coverage.November December 2016 front cover

We feature Australia’s official Jeep 75th celebrations held in Bendigo, Victoria on the 1st and 2nd of October. We at Jeep Action were privileged to organise and be part of this historic event. A big thankyou goes out to all the Jeep enthusiasts who made the effort to have their Jeeps available for show over the two days. Many travelled long distances to be there. It was great to see so many day visitors attending over the weekend, enjoying the great range of Jeep models being displayed.

Vendors had some great displays and made a great contribution to the event. The most common feedback I received from Jeepers was that with no four-wheel driving at the event they really enjoyed being able to view the Jeeps and talk with owners for hours. Normally at Jeep events they would be preparing themselves and their Jeep to go on the trails and sometimes don’t get a chance to catch up with other Jeepers as much as they would like.

So once again thanks to all involved for your support of the event and the Jeep brand.

If you couldn’t make the celebrations and would like to purchase some of the limited 75th merchandise check out page 80 for details.

We also feature our last instalment of 75 years of Jeep in Australia, with this issue covering images from 1991-2016.
So as 2016 winds down and we move on from the 75th year, Jeep Action Magazine looks forward to covering all things Jeep over the coming years.
